Westerner Days is back, bringing five days of rides, entertainment, agriculture, food, and family fun to Red Deer.
With roots dating back to 1892 as the original Red Deer Fair, Westerner Days has grown from an agricultural showcase into one of Central Alberta’s biggest summer traditions. While the event has evolved over the years to include midway rides, live entertainment, a parade, and plenty of great food, it continues to celebrate the community and the people who call Central Alberta home.
This year’s fair runs Wednesday through Sunday, with gates opening daily at 12:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy everything from midway rides and local vendors to family-friendly attractions, exhibits, and live performances throughout the grounds.
The entertainment lineup features performances from local favorites and exciting acts, including Jade Elephant and Fionn, bringing live music to the fairgrounds as part of the Westerner Days experience.
The annual Westerner Days Parade kicks things off on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Red Deer.
