For 75 years, the Red Deer Memorial Centre has been bringing people together through music, performances and unforgettable moments. What began as a WWII drill hall in 1951 has grown into a beloved community landmark, hosting thousands of performances and events that have helped shape Red Deer’s history. Now, it’s time to celebrate that legacy and look ahead to the next 75 years.
Join the 75 Years of Legends Gala & Fundraiser on Saturday, November 14, for a 1950s-inspired evening filled with great food, live music and a celebration of the memories made on the Memorial Centre stage. The evening features Folsom Prison Revisited, bringing the story of Johnny Cash’s legendary Folsom Prison concert to life. Guests can choose the full Gala & Concert experience, running from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. for $200 per person, or attend the concert only from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. for $59 per person.
The celebration is about more than looking back. The Memorial Centre is raising $250,000 to install state-of-the-art LED stage lighting, enhancing future performances and helping attract new artists, audiences and experiences for generations to come. Proceeds from the event, along with an online 50/50 raffle, will support this important project.
